ICQ is the biggest piece of bloat ware on the planet second only to AIM.
If you would like to remove the lame ad windows and some fixed buttons and images from ICQ then download
ICQ Strip.
All you have to do is replace some of your ICQ dll's with the ones included in this zip file. You can
always revert back to the original ICQ state by replacing the dll's with your original ones.
*** NOTE ***
Make sure you use the correct version of ICQ Strip with your ICQ client. There have been reports of
ICQ crashing (when starting up) when using an incompatible version of ICQCore.dll. Also, please be
aware that ICQCore.dll in icq_strip_3281.zip has not been thoroughly tested, but nonetheless should
work flawlessly.
For ICQ v.4.60 Build #3278 use icq_strip.zip
For ICQ v.4.65 Build #3281 use icq_strip_3281.zip
