| ICQ Groupware Client Tutorial |
1) Install ICQ Groupware Client Download a copy from ftp://ftp.icq.com/pub/ICQ_Win95_98_NT4/GroupWare/ |

2) Sign In
Server Address: administrator will tell you this IP.
Port: 4000.
ICQ Number: administrator will tell you this number.
Password: administrator will tell you your password.
(After signing in you will be required to change this password)

3) User Info Enter in your User Information. Name and Email are required.
 |
4) Save User Info Save your User Info and then click Done.
 |
5) Main ICQ Window The main ICQ window should look like this:

6) Finding People
Now you need to add some people to your contact list.
Click on the Add Users button (on the main ICQ window).
Select from the drop down menu how you would like to search.
Doing a first name search for John I found someone named John Doe. I know John, so I click Add To Contact List to add him to my list.
Click Close when you are finished or Search Again.

7) Sending a Message To send a message to John I right-click on his name and select Message

8) Preferences
Select Preferences from the ICQ menu.
Go to the Accept tab and uncheck Automatically receive Externals, Servers and NetTips updates.
Go to the Connection tab and uncheck Please include me anonymously in the Usage survey.
